Όταν ένα άτομο υφίσταται σεξουαλική βία, οι άνθρωποι στους οποίους επιλέγει να το εκμυστηρευτεί παίζουν καθοριστικό ρόλο. Μία/Ένας συγγενής, φίλη/ος ή συνάδελφος που θα του συμπαρασταθεί μπορεί να θεωρηθεί σημαντική πηγή συμπαράστασης και βοήθειας. Ομάδα στόχος αυτού του εργαστηρίου είναι αυτή η μεγάλη και πολύ σημαντική «δεξαμενή» πρώτης υποδοχής ενός περιστατικού κακοποίησης. Εργαστήριο Πρώτων Βοηθειών σε άτομα που έχουν υποστεί έμφυλη βία Η ΚΟΙΝΣΕΠ “Εριφύλη” και οι εξειδικευμένες/οι συνεργάτιδες/τες της (δικηγόροι, ψυχολόγοι) έχουν αναπτύξει σεμινάριο «πρώτων βοηθειών ατόμων που δέχονται έμφυλη βία» σε αναλογία των αντίστοιχων σεμιναρίων πρώτων βοηθειών που έχουν αναπτυχθεί για περιστατικά σωματικής υγείας (π.χ. ΕΚΑΒ, Ερυθρός Σταυρός κ.α.). Το σεμινάριο δομημένο από τα μέλη μας σύμφωνα με τις βιβλιογραφικές πηγές που σχετίζονται με το θέμα, την εμπειρία τους στην υποστήριξη τέτοιων περιστατικών και την ανάπτυξη του έτι περαιτέρω ως πρωτογενές υλικό. Εκκινεί από τη διαπίστωση, ότι τα άτομα του κοντινού περιβάλλοντος τέτοιων περιπτώσεων που υφίστανται έμφυλη βία, οι συγγενείς, οι φίλες/φίλοι, επαγγελματίες που έρχονται σε επαφή μαζί τους συνήθως, ακόμα και τυχαίες/οι παρευρισκόμενες/οι, ως “πρώτες/οι υποδοχείς” μιας δυνάμει μαρτυρίας που μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε καταγγελία της κακοποίησης, είναι ιδιαίτερα κρίσιμοι για την αντιμετώπιση του προβλήματος. Οι «πρώτους υποδοχείς», επομένως συνηθίζουμε στην «Εριφύλη» να αποκαλούμε τα άτομα εκείνα, είτε είναι επαγγελματίες που σχετίζονται με θύματα έμφυλης βίας, είτε είναι φίλες/οι, συγγενείς, ή ακόμα ακόμα τρίτοι, που το θύμα για πρώτη φορά εμφανίζει μια διάθεση να ζητήσει βοήθεια. Το σεμινάριο μέχρι στιγμής έχει υλοποιηθεί σε επαγγελματίες που σχετίζονται με το θέμα (φοιτήτριες/ες ιατρούς, νοσηλεύτριες/ες, ψυχολόγους, παιδαγωγούς, επαγγελματίες στρατού), αλλά και στο ευρύ κοινό, ενώ ανάλογα με το κοινό που απευθύνονται προσαρμόζονται αναλόγως μέσα από μια δυναμική σχέση μέσου/σκοπού. Σε πρώτο στάδιο διερευνούνται τα στερεότυπα και οι μύθοι, που αναπαράγονται στη κοινωνία μας σχετικά με το φαινόμενο της έμφυλης βίας και προκαλείται η τεκμηριωμένη αποδόμησή τους, ώστε να γίνει κατανοητή η θέση ενός κακοποιημένου ατόμου, ώστε η προσέγγισή του και η επαφή μαζί του να είναι ενημερωμένη και να εμπεριέχει το στοιχείο της ενσυναίσθησης. Σε δεύτερο στάδιο, οι συμμετέχουσες/οντες, αφού αποκτούν δεξιότητες, ώστε να μπορούν να δημιουργήσουν ένα ασφαλές πλαίσιο ανάπτυξης του προβλήματος απο το κακοποιημένο μέρος σε όλη του τη διάσταση, προοπτική που τίθεται ως ζητούμενο και δεν είναι καθόλου αυτονόητη, καθώς η ψυχολογική κατάσταση του, οι ενοχές που το συνοδεύουν και οι στερεοτυπικές αντιλήψεις της κοινωνίας που προαναφέρθηκαν, το οδηγούν στην απομόνωση και την εσωστρέφεια. Σε τρίτο στάδιο, οι συμμετέχουσες/οντες αποκτούν εργαλεία ορθής και μεθοδευμένης επικουρίας στοιχειοθέτησης μιας καταγγελίας, με τρόπο ώστε αφενός το κακοποιημένο μέρος να παραμείνει ασφαλές και αφετέρου η κατάληξη να έχει την όσο το δυνατό περισσότερο εμπεριστατωμένη θεμελίωση της υπόθεσής του. Σε αυτό το στάδιο, οι συμμετέχουσες/οντες αποκτούν γνώσεις για τα αποδεικτικά στοιχεία που μπορούν να συλλεγούν και για την ενημερωμένη επαφή που μπορούν να έχουν οι ίδιες/ίδιοι ως “πρώτοι υποδοχείς”, με τα νοσοκομεία, τα δικαστήρια, την αστυνομία, τους δικηγόρους και το που μπορούν να παραπέμψουν ένα περιστατικό για την καλύτερη και πληρέστερη αντιμετώπιση του προβλήματος. Εν τέλει, όλη αυτή η διαδρομή καταλήγει στη σημασία που έχει οι “πρώτοι υποδοχείς” να συμμετέχουν με την εμπειρία τους στην δύσκολη ανάβαση που πρέπει να μετέλθει ένα άτομο που δέχεται έμφυλη βία, μέχρι τον απεγκλωβισμό του απο τη κακοποίηση που δέχεται και τελικά την τιμώρηση του δράστη, καθώς η δική τους μαρτυρία σε όλη αυτή την εξέλιξη είναι ένα ακόμα κρίσιμο αποδεικτικό στοιχείο που μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί, όταν εμφανιστεί η ανάγκη. Stavroula Kordella holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences (University of the Aegean, Department of Environment), a M.Sc. in Environmental Oceanography, and a Ph.D. entitled "Fluid seepage on and off-shore Western Greece", both from the University of Patras, Department of Geology. She has worked for 13 years as a Research Associate in Oceanus-Lab (Lab Of Marine Geology & Physical Oceanography, University of Patras). Throughout this time, she has participated in numerous marine geophysical, geochemical, geotechnical, geoarchaeological and marine litter projects carried out by Oceanus-Lab. She holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences (University of the Aegean, Department of Environment), a M.Sc. in Environmental Oceanography, and a Ph.D. in “fluid seepage on and offshore Western Greece”, both from the University of Patras, Department of Geology. Her research interests include multiple topics related to underwater exploration which are reflected in her published work. These topics include submarine gas seepage, gas geochemistry (methane), seawater hypoxia/anoxia, marine geoarchaeology, marine geology, and marine litter. She has a keen interest in environmental awareness and protection and has worked extensively with marine litter pollution monitoring. She has developed audio-visual and written education and information material, and organized workshops and events for environmental awareness-raising projects, whilst she has participated in the design and implementation of EU funded marine litter based projects, including field work and data analyses (LIFE DEBAG-LIFE14 GIE/GR/001127, LIFE AMMOS-LIFE12 INF/GR/000985, MELTEMI- Balkan Med). She has worked with non-formal learning (e.g., Microplastics and Performance Arts summer school, LIFE DEBAG), and citizen science (beach litter monitoring with citizens and schoolchildren for Clean up the Med, LIFE DEBAG & MELTEMI projects). She has made hundreds of presentations to the general public and school students aiming at raising public awareness on environmental issues. Η αντιμετώπιση των σύνθετων προβλημάτων της εποχής μας δεν εξαντλείται σε μια δικαστική διαμάχη ή σε κάποια σειρά ατομικών συνεδριών, όπου το άτομο αντιμετωπίζεται ως διάδικος ή ως ασθενής στο δικαστήριο ή στον παραδοσιακό ψυχαναλυτικό καναπέ. Υπάρχουν περιπτώσεις, που χρήζουν μιας πιο σύνθετης μεταχείρισης με συνεργασία της νομικής με την ψυχολογική υποστήριξη. Η ομάδα της "Εριφύλης" έρχεται να καλύψει αυτό το κενό με την ομάδα της που απαρτίζεται από τις κατάλληλες διαφορετικές ειδικότητες. Το κέντρο διαχείρισης έμφυλων διακρίσεων "Εριφύλη" είναι ένας πολυχώρος στην οδό Σαχτούρη 64, που προσφέρει ένα πολύπλευρα οργανωμένο πλαίσιο παρέμβασης και συλλογικής ενδυνάμωσης στην κοινότητά μας. Κύριες λειτουργίες της είναι τα βιωματικά εργαστήρια ψυχοεκπαίδευσης και αυτοβελτίωσης, νομική υποστήριξη και νομική συμβουλευτική, ενημερωτικές δράσεις, εκθέσεις, ημερίδες, εκδηλώσεις, όπως και ανάπτυξη αυτόνομης εθελοντικής ομάδας, που θα εδράζεται στον χώρο της. Erifyli Center is situated in Patras, Greece and works to combat gender inequalities, gender-based violence, and gender stereotyping. Erifyli Center aims to offer the community an organised intervention framework regarding gender inequality issues by providing empowerment workshops, legal support ranging from legal consultation to legal representation, information and awareness-raising activities, such as events, workshops, festivals, campaigns, seminars, interventions, etc., aimed at the general public, students, teachers, professionals, femininities, and people in need. Erifyli Center has an autonomous voluntary group called "Stereotypakia" that plans and implements a wide range of activities aiming at raising the awareness level of the society promoting active civic engagement. "Stereotypakia" also write articles on gender-based issues that are published in a popular Greek news portal (THE BEST) on a weekly basis, aiming at raising public knowledge on these issues. The scientific team: Stavroula Kordella, Vassilis Markou, Chrysoula Loukopoulou, Maria Kasiola, Vasileia Christou, Foteini Dimakopoulou, Enni Androutselli collaborate for the. The dialogue of the scientific fields of psychology, law, philosophy and STEM aims to alleviate inequalities in relationships and at work through a series of actions and interventions at the stereotypical perceptions of our society. G ender-based violence Patriarchy thrives today. It is a system of ideas and individual considerations on which most modern societies are built. Clearly, it is known to empower – in an arbitrary way – the male gender and promote practices of coercion, oppression and compulsion. Through this view, practices have been naturalized, which continue to be reproduced in today's societies. These practices are related to the devaluation of femininities, the reinforcement of specific behaviors and genders - on the side of masculinities- which are considered to reflect and stimulate their "masculinity" i.e., the prevalence of gender roles and stereotypical behaviors, the reinforcement of rape culture and its normalization. In the recent years, an increase of gender-based violence incidents has been noticed. There is not only the physical abuse (slapping, pushing, pulling hair, etc.) which threatens the physical integrity of the victim, but intimate partner violence takes many forms: verbal, psychological, physical, sexual and financial abuse– which leave no visible marks but are just as traumatic. Its effects affect important areas of people's lives, personality and mental health. We are trying to prevent and address the cycle of silence and abuse, aiming to contribute to the #metoo movement. Interventions: Empowerment workshops: conflict management, sexual education based on consent, strengthening of self-awareness and professional orientation, deconstruction of gender stereotypes, are topics that can act as a deterrent to future acts of violence, through the empowerment of the participants. Informative events, seminars for school students, teachers, university students, educators, exhibitions, operation of an autonomous voluntary group. Escape Plan: We provide a detailed practical step-by-step guide regarding the escape from an abusive relationship and we conduct the necessary legal actions in collaboration with our network of legal partners. Volunteer group Erifyli has an autonomous volunteer group that works to combat gender inequalities. ERIFYLI, provides a supporting framework, so that the fresh volunteer group can flourish and spread throughout Greece. Meeting space, secretarial support, legal guidance, space for organizing information events, exhibitions, seminars and audiovisual equipment, etc, are available to form a solid foundation for the creative and free development of the volunteer group. The Erifyli volunteer group meets at least twice per month and collectively decides on which activities to undertake related to gender inequalities. Foteini Dimakopoulou Founding member of Erifyli Fotini Dimakopoulou was born and raised in Patras. She graduated from the 2nd Lyceum of Patras and then studied at the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace. She practiced martial law from 1995 to 2002. At the same time, she completed her pedagogical studies at PATES/SELETE of Patras and since 2001 she has been working as a teacher, cl.PE78-Social Sciences at the General Lyceum of Demenikos. From 2011 to 2017, she assumed the duties of sub-principal, while from 2017 until today she serves as principal at Kleitoria Kalavryton High School. She holds a Master's Degree in Educational Sciences from the E.A.P. and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Patras. She has attended numerous trainings and seminars and has participated as a trainer in training programs for teachers and school managers. She was a member of the scientific committee of the I.E.P. for the development, writing and evaluation of educational material as well as the drafting of detailed study programs, member of the jury of international scientific committees and conferences, participated in Greek and international conferences with research presentations and has published articles and studies in scientific Greek and international journals. Her field of interests includes actions related to theater in education, intercultural education, school psychology, adult education and educational administration. She has participated in the pedagogical team of summer schools, has designed and implemented over fifty educational innovative programs related to environmental education, culture, theater education, health education and social solidarity. She is a member of various scientific associations, a founding member of PaiTheA (theatre in education), participates in activist-social actions for students and is a member of amateur theater groups
