Self empowerment NEW Knowing myself better and my strengths Registration and more information Coordinator: Eugenia Androutselli Ultimate workshop goal: gaining greater self-awareness/ strengthening and training positive elements of character/ identifying strengths/ strengthening mental resources/ managing difficulties more effectively/ safer choices/ making wiser decisions in life/ shielding mental health. Target Audience: To those who have entered a path of self-improvement and positive self-development, to those who want to strengthen aspects of themselves, to those who want to strengthen self-confidence and self-esteem, to those who want to gain more faith in themselves . Description: How well do you know yourself? How self-aware are you? →How often do you do this kind of reflection? This program is ideal for both you who answered "not often" and for you who answered "constantly". And that's because self-awareness is a skill that, like a muscle, needs a good workout to strengthen. What is Self-awareness? Self-knowledge is the best knowledge and power. It relates to the awareness we have of the various aspects of our character, our strengths, our values, the way we think, feel and behave. Essentially, it is a psychological state in which the self becomes the center of attention. So knowing ourselves in many ways allows us to constructively use our positive characteristics, utilize our strengths and improve our weak aspects. However, we often get caught up in the image we present to others, focusing on superficial aspects of ourselves or an image we create to be liked and accepted by society. In addition, contemporary social, political and economic events often make us feel hopeless and helpless. In this way, a weak and lazy self-image is nurtured and important aspects of ourselves are left in the dark. Our self is made up of a coherent set of elements. These include self-awareness, self-understanding, self-help, self-improvement, self-esteem, self-compassion, and more. These elements characterize the image we have of ourselves, our "relationship" with him as well as our relationship with others. Through this workshop we will focus on several of these elements to build a healthier and more resilient self-image and relationship. The ultimate goal is our empowerment and the acquisition of qualities that will primarily be able to (self) shield and (self) help us against life's crises. Because, above all, our own self should be our best strength and defense. Benefits of Self-Awareness: We become more confident and more creative We make better decisions We build stronger relationships and communicate more effectively We are better workers and get more promotions We are more effective leaders with more satisfied employees and more profitable companies It makes us more energetic, boosts our acceptance and encourages positive self-development We can see things from the perspective of others, exercise self-control, work creatively and productively, and feel pride in ourselves and a general self-esteem It leads to better decision making Workshop Program It is a workshop with 9 predetermined meetings structured with a specific subject and purpose, the ultimate goal of which is self-awareness and the acquisition of "tools" in relation to this subject. 1st Meeting: Breaking the ice. Ready to start this journey of self-discovery? Purpose: getting to know/ informing/ formulating a team contract. 2nd Meeting: The Sailboat. Who is in control of the sailboat? Purpose: understanding of human functioning/ awareness of all parameters, internal and external, that make up and influence life/ focus on parameters that need strengthening. 3rd Meeting: Know yourself. Learning about self-awareness. What are self-images? Purpose: identify character strengths and weaknesses/reframe weak elements/tool to identify 24 character strengths. 4th Meeting: In the footsteps of lost forces. After all, how well do you know your strengths? Purpose: identifying key strengths of our character/ identifying them in everyday life/ utilizing them in effective ways. 5th Meeting: And this shall pass. How easily do you put it down? Purpose: knowing the concept of self-compassion/ learning ways to practice self-compassion/ reducing self-flagellation/ accepting imperfection/ understanding self-care 9th Meeting: My suitcase. What do you keep from this workshop? What do you learn about yourself? What weapons do you now have in your quiver? Purpose: reflection/ synthesis of learning/ closure and farewell. Frequent questions: What is psychoeducation? Psychoeducation is generally considered to be a form of health promotion that aims to make the individual aware of factors that promote or compromise their well-being. Through psychoeducation, individuals acquire those skills and understanding that lead to behavioral change and a better quality of life (Jarosz, 2020). What will psychoeducation help me with? First, through a positive focus in psychoeducation, interventions are not centered around a person's faults, illnesses, or deficits. Instead, they try to build on the individual's strengths by encouraging new abilities and leading them to greater resilience and empowerment (Lukens & McFarlane, 2006). Second, psychoeducation provides an opportunity for the general (non-clinical) population to learn about theories of wellness and health that can contribute to better living that were previously only available to clinical populations. What is a psychoeducational group? The term psychoeducational group refers to a wide range of groups that have education as an important element apart from the psychological. Psychoeducational groups are useful for educating those facing a potential threat or developmental life event as well as teaching coping skills for immediate life crises. People of all ages and educational levels can participate in these groups in almost any environment. They offer a supportive and structured environment in which members can learn new skills or focus on completing a task. In these groups, special emphasis is placed on education and learning. In other words, they are a hybrid of an academic class and a consulting group. On the one hand, they resemble classrooms in which there are many participants, teaching principles are applied, the material presented is intended to be learned and retained, and the leader is the expert/trainer. On the other hand, they are similar to counseling groups in that member interactions are important, attention is paid to group dynamics and skills such as communication and relationships while the leader may at times take on the role of a mediator. Why should I choose a psychoeducational group? Members gain new and accurate ways of seeing themselves and situations. Enhanced mutual understanding provides members with feelings of empowerment and thereby improves their coping skills. Being around others helps promote optimism, which in turn promotes motivation for recovery. Finding that a person is not alone provides the reassurance they need to move on. It helps members connect/relate to each other (and themselves) in healthier ways. They contribute to increasing self-esteem. They increase a sense of empowerment and confidence through problem solving. How participating in group activities will help me: Humans, by nature, are social creatures who live and function in groups. Therefore, participation in group activities ensures that all members of the group learn the same techniques. They connect the team by tightening the relationships between its members. Groups provide a dynamic within which personal development and the enlightenment of personal and social aspects of our daily lives are promoted. Doing the activities as a group has the added benefit of promoting support and increasing motivation to learn. Team members can encourage each other to develop new skills, acquire new skills, and can help each other in doing so. In fact, multiple studies have come to the conclusion that many beneficial behaviors come from teamwork, yielding significant benefits in reducing stress. Program duration The group will be completed in 9 weekly meetings, lasting 2 hours. Investment cost 170 euros 130 euros, for early bird registration (the first two weeks), 20% discount for unemployed, students, disabled possibility of payment in two installments Registration and more information Phone Email Contact Follow us NEW 2610 33 46 55 erifyli.org@gmail.com

Confidence Workshop Mental strengthening exercises with the aim of developing and strengthening Self-Confidence NEW Registration and more information Coordinator: Maria Ioakeimidis Self-confidence is an 'attitude' that allows us to have a positive but also realistic perception of ourselves and our abilities to handle the situations or difficulties that concern us. In other words, it is the confidence we have in our abilities to do, within our abilities and reason, what we desire, plan and expect and the feeling that we exercise control over our lives. Even if something goes wrong, the positive attitude and self-acceptance of people with high self-confidence does not change. Many times we hear those around us say "I don't have enough confidence to do this, I don't believe I can do that, I'm not good enough for the other", thoughts that we even think ourselves. But what does it mean to reproduce these phrases, these thoughts for ourselves. It is the sign to listen to the bell that rings and informs us of the distrust we show in ourselves, our abilities, our limits. It is a very important reason to work with ourselves, our body and mind and replace this distrust of our face with positivity. Is it easy to restore my lost confidence? The answer is no. Nothing is easy, especially when it comes to developing and improving ourselves. It takes care, dedication and commitment to recognize and change all the things that hold me back, such as beliefs, habits and behaviours. At the end of the journey, however, I will be vindicated through the feeling of satisfaction for what I have achieved and for the development I have had as a person by working and taking care of myself. Through this experiential workshop we aim to get to know ourselves better, to listen to it and ultimately to become stronger by raising our strong characteristics and developing and evolving the less strong ones. The exposure and interaction between group members will help us get to know aspects of ourselves that we didn't know before. The experiential exercises that will take place at each of our meetings will help all participants to value their existing abilities and develop as many others as they can to achieve a better quality of life. Q&A What is mental empowerment? What does the term confidence mean? How are these two concepts (mental empowerment & self-confidence) related? Why is it important to deal with the development and strengthening of self-confidence? What does it benefit us? Target Audience; Mental empowerment is a process of improving ourselves. It can be achieved once one realizes that our actions, feelings and thoughts are under our control. The mind is trained to distinguish the important from the unimportant and thus we avoid dysfunctional ways of thinking and behaving. The so common in use, but so important in the field of psychology, its meaning concerns an 'attitude' that allows us to have a positive but also realistic perception of ourselves and of our abilities, to handle the situations or difficulties that present us. concern. In other words, it is our belief that we have the ability to do, within our abilities and reason, whatever we desire, plan and expect. It also reflects the confidence we have in our abilities, but also the feeling that we exercise control over our lives. The two abilities, as we might call them, of mental empowerment and self-confidence, are inextricably linked. As we mentioned mental empowerment is a process of self improvement. Developing self-confidence is a key care step to achieve this, that is, to reach a better version of ourselves. We could say that self-confidence is only one of many means that can contribute to the mental empowerment of the individual. Our self is our most valuable ally. In order to be able to cope with the demands of everyday life, to be able to set goals, to set our limits, to interact with others around us, to learn to rely on our own strengths and evaluate them accurately, all this and more they cannot be achieved if there is no self-belief. We lack faith in ourselves. Joining this experiential group will help us gain the resources and tools to connect with ourselves, fight for our goals and dreams. Even if something in the course or development of a goal or process may initially appear to go wrong, the positive attitude and self-acceptance of high self-esteem individuals remains stable and unchanging. This workshop has no restrictions on who can attend. It is addressed to the entire population regardless of age, gender, professional status or anything else. Anyone interested in taking care of themselves can participate. Program duration The group will be completed in 8 weekly meetings, lasting 2.5 hours. Experiential workshops are addressed to anyone who wishes to join a group where the process of discussion, introspection, experiential exercises, bring personal change and growth. In an experiential group, the members participate directly and actively as well as interact between them. Exercises, role plays and other activities are carried out to help group members to express their feelings and concerns and communicate with authenticity. Through this experience, thoughts emerge, common or contrasting experiences are shared, interaction is enhanced and thus the participants expand their perspective. Also, through the group, the participants get to know aspects of themselves that they did not know before. In several cases, members need to work in pairs or small groups. This helps with issues that need a deeper approach and personal expression. Members who have difficulty expressing how they feel within the group can take time to communicate with fewer people and prepare to bring their experience to the larger group. In groups there is a common goal, a common request from their members. Groups are a first step for those who want to engage and work a little more intensively with themselves, it can work as a therapeutic process. Psychoeducation, on the other hand, concerns a wide range of groups that include education as an important element in addition to the psychological. Psychoeducational groups are useful for educating those facing a potential threat or a life cycle event as well as teaching coping skills for life crises. People of any age and education levels can participate in these groups in almost any setting. They groups offer a supportive and structured environment in which members can adopt new skills or focus on completing a task. The advantages of psychoeducational groups: • The members adopt new accurate ways of seeing themselves and situations. • Through mutual empathy, the members experience feelings of empowerment and therefore improve their coping skills. • Being close to others helps promote optimism, which in turn promotes motivation for recovery. • The members feel that they are not alone and they are provided the reassurance they need to move on. • The group helps the members to relate to each other (and to themselves) in healthier ways. • The groups improve the members' self esteem. • They boost the feelings of empowerment και trust through problem solving. Members of a connected group, have mutual acceptance, create the right atmosphere to express and expose themselves, and experience a high degree of self-awareness and self-confidence. The feeling of "belonging" leads the participants to the appreciation of the value of the group as well as to the feeling that their own value is also appreciated, they are accepted and supported by the other members in return. Members learn to share their concerns and questions, become aware of their personality aspects, better understand how they behave as individuals or within their relationships, and improve their communication and expression skills. The scientific team of the "Erifyli" has managed to create its workshops in a way that combines these two elements, experiential and psychoeducation, aiming for the best possible result based on the benefit of the participants. The team serves the beneficiaries with delicacy, confidentiality, patience, understanding, neutrality, non-judgement and respect, . The main purpose of the group is to create a safe support framework for issues that each member encounters in their daily life, with respect to the pace of each participant.
